The Pursuit of Happyness

Today is the opening of the new Will Smith movie the Pursuit of Happyness.. It is actually based on a true story about a guy who basically went thru HELL (His wife left him, being homeless, broke, etc) because he wanted a better life for himself and his son.

I had the opportunity to screen the movie earlier this week, and it is really good. I already felt that Will Smith was a pretty good actor, especially since his claim to fame is being a rapper. The person who impressed me the most was his son Jaden who also played his son in the movie.

Of course the theme of the flick was tied into the title: The Pursuit of Happyness Yes I know that the word Happyness is spelled wrong, but you will understand why I am spelling it that way when you see the movie.

From what I have read about Thomas Jefferson, he was a pretty smart man. Since he basically was the writer of the declaration of independence where the phrase came from I will give him credit for it.

At some point aren't we all in that pursuit? Looking for that...... Happiness?

I wrote in one of my earlier entries a quote that I have on my desk:
It is not in doing what you like, but in liking what you do that is the secret of happiness.... but is it really?

It's Been A Long Time

No!!! I did not get in an accident, or been in the hospital, or been ordered to the Federal witness protection program.
Life moves in cycles. You have your slow periods then life moves like a cheetah on hunt for food.
Ok that was corny!!! Please excuse me.. I will slowly get back into the swing of writing a few times a week and use this blog for what it was meant for....... Expressing my feelings, thoughts and opinions.
